New! Baggage Allowance on AIR FRANCE and KLM

New baggage rules per 28th March 2010

As of 28th March 2010, Air France and KLM (Northwest) will simplify the check-in baggage rules by applying the piece concept worldwide.

New FREE Baggage Allowance
Class of travel - Number of Bags 23 kgs each
First 3 (Flying Blue Elite +1)
Business 3 (Flying Blue Elite +1)
Premium Voyageur (AF) 2 (Flying Blue Elite +1)
Economy Comfort* (KL) 1 (Flying Blue Elite +1)
Economy* 1 (Flying Blue Elite +1)

*2nd bag in excess to the above mentioned free allowance will be
charged USD55 (= in local currency) excld travel to USA/Canada.

Flying Blue members may also use their Flying Blue Miles to pay for additional baggage
1st additional bag - 10,000 miles**
2nd additional bag - 40,000 miles**
**Conditions Apply

Example: First class customers travelling from Kuwait to New York
on KLM can carry 3 bags with a total weight of 69kgs (each bag of 23kgs).

Example: Travelling from Kuwait to London on KLM. Business class can carry 3 bags
(each of 23kgs). Economy class will be charged $55 for the 2nd bag.
Flying Blue Elite will not be charged for the 2nd bag.

Example: Economy class customer travelling from Kuwait to New York on KLM can travel with
2 bags (each of 23kgs) without any additional charges.
